Apple has in fact done some of this: there is an application which will look at where you are in NYC and tell you where the subway is. It merges the camera and the computer and your location, which of course, it knows.
It’s time for our devices to have projectors as well as screens, they already have mics and cameras and mac already has some motion sensing built into the machine.
What has emerge with the iPhone is a multi sensory portable computer and development platform… add a couple of more input/output devices and the applications will come…
That’s one of the years memorable statments: “There’s an app for that”
