Trolling for Trolleys

trolleyrondout.jpg Kingston, trains and trolleys go way back. In fact, Kingston was an innovator in the 1890s with an electric trolley car — one of a handful in the country. The Kingston Electric Railway Company operated the car, and even duked it out with a competitor, Colonial City Railroad Company, in what was to be known as the “great trolley fight” (read more, here).

Anyone who has ever lived in New York City knows how tough the commute can be. Just getting to one end of the city to the other can take up to 90 minutes. According to Zoomprospector, the average commute in New York City is 37 minutes.
